Frequently Asked Questions

Is Tissington Ford Barn wheelchair friendly?

Tissington Ford Barn is a single storey property, however, we do not believe our cottage is wheelchair friendly due to the available space around furniture and through doorways. If you would like more information, we can provide you with our Accessibility statement - just contact us through our contact form.

Do you provide a cot and highchair?

Yes, we do provide one cot and one highchair for your baby. We also provide additional linen for the cot, and blankets.

Is the hot tub included with the property?

No, we have the facilities to host a hot tub, however, we ask you to hire the hot tub for your stay with our recommended supplier. Payment would be made directly to the company.

Are food deliveries able to reach the cottage?

Yes! We have previously had deliveries from Ocado,  Morrisons, Sainbury's, Tesco and Peak District Deli.

Are there any pub walks near to Tissington Ford Barn?

Yes - we have two recommended local pubs, both of which have walks to and from the property.

1. The Knockerdown Pub,  Carsington

2. The Olde Gate Inne, Brassington

We also recommend another pub a short drive from the cottage called the Bentley Brook Inn. For further information, please request our Pub Walk document, alternatively all the information you will need including a step by step guidance to the pub and back and a map will be provided at the property.

Are there any flat walks you would recommend?

Yes, we would recommend Tissington Trail, Carsington Resevoir, Dovedale, Bradford Dale, Mill Dale and Lathkill Dale. Although there may be slopes at times, it would not involve anything too strenuous.
