Wigber Low

A wonderful 15 minutes walk to a historic location in the immediate area.  Wigber most likely originates from the Anglo-Saxon name of ‘Wigca’ and ‘Low’ meaning small hill or burial ground. Several Anglo-Saxon graves from between 500 to 600 AD have been found here with objects made of silver and gold; indicating the wealth of some of those buried at this site during the Saxon period.
